Worthy of Note - Uche Odoh

Posted by ... Bolaji Animashaun On Monday, February 15, 2010
- Tell us about yourself.
My name is Uche Odoh and I hail from Enugu State.

- How long have you been modeling?
I've been modeling since 2008.

- What or whom inspired you to go into the modeling field?
I've always loved being in front of the camera, so when i grew older it was natural that I become a model.

Were there any oppositions from family or friends when you took up modeling? Not really. My brothers were cool with it, mumsy was a bit hesitant but it wasn't long before she came around. I promised her I'd graduate from college with good grades.

- You graduated just of recent...congratulations!! What was your major and how well did you like it?
Thank you. Yeah, I majored in soil science which I really don't think I would practice because I'm more inclined to the media and entertainment.

- Speaking of something entertaining, we heard the NMAA 2009 [Nigerian Model Achievers Award] was a huge success and you were the photogenic female model of the year. How did it feel to take home the award?
It felt wonderful winning it given that I was just about a year and a few months in the industry that time.
- So you were still sort of new in the modeling field when you won the award.. how impressive! Would you say winning the award has helped you in any way or what?
Sort of new? Yes but i did quite a number of notable jobs within that
period. Winning the award shows that people appreciate and recognize what you are doing.
What's the most challenging part of modeling for you?Combining modeling with studies because I traveled often but I thank God that part is over now.

What's the easiest part of it?

Being able to enjoy what I am doing.

- Uche I must say it is impossible to interview you without mentioning H Man. Are you comfortable talking about this or should we move on to the next question?
It's my private life so let's leave it private. We are no longer together though.

Okay...moving on! Earlier you mentioned your interest in TV productions. Tell us more about that. Do you plan on being a TV show host or what?
Probably in the near future, I'll own a show but right now, working as an independent producer/presenter works fine. In my entertainment company (3089 entertainment), we are currently working with 2 upcoming acts Jae mawuli and Sym 19.

- As a beautiful young female in the limelight, it is natural to gain immense admiration from young male (fans). Have you had any remarkable or crazy encounter with any fan?
It's natural for a beautiful girl to have fans so I would say I'm already used to that, nothing beyond the ordinary; just the occasional stalking, anonymous calls and text messages.

- Aside from what we all know you to do, what do you enjoy doing?
I'm interested in TV production (as much as i love being in front of the camera, behind the camera holds interest for me). I already run an entertainment company where we offer services like artist and event management.

- Where do you see yourself in the next 5 years?
In the next 5yrs, I would definitely be a force to reckon with both in the modeling industry and the entertainment industry.

- Thank you for your time Uche. We wish you the best in all that you intend to do and thank you readers for joining us today. Here are some fabulous shots - UCHE ODOH.

Da Grin Was Drunk On The Night Of His Near Fatal Accident.

Da Grin Was Drunk On The Night Of His Near Fatal Accident.

Da Grin - Before and Now
INSIDERS ALLEGED Popular Rap Artiste, Da grin’s Car was filled with liquor at the time of the accident.
As at the time when the music industry is still praying for the quick recovery of Tunde , a member of Styl Plus who get involved in an auto crash in Abuja few weeks back, another tragic incident happened at the early hours of Wednesday 14th of April, which involved the prolific rapper, Da Grin. The lyricist was said to have been coming from a night studio session when he ran his newly acquired Nissan Ultima into a parked truck in front of Alakara police station in Mushin. As at the time of the accident, Dagrin was left hanging between life and death before he was rescued by policemen on patrol. The policemen reportedly called his manager, Tunde after finding his number on Da Grin’s ‘last dialled’ list. We gathered that Dagrin was immediately rushed to Tai Solarin Hospital in Olosha where he was given first aid treatment before he was later transferred to Lagos University Teaching Hospital (LUTH) at Idi Araba in Mushin due to the inapability of T&S Hospital to administer needed treatment.
Witnesses have revealed excluseively to Questionmarkmag.com that contrary to the statement by the manager that Da Grin was coming from a studio session for his upcoming album,  he was coming from a friend identified as James. We were further hinted that he got intoxicated during his stay with James over the night before he decided to call it a day. A by stander at the scene of the accident revealed that “he must have been drunk and over-speeding because the truck he rammed his car with has been parked at the front of the police station several hours before the tragedy occur, to buttress my point, when we ran to rescue him after the accident, a bottle of Hennessey was found in the car and the whole car was filled with the all sort of liquor induced odour“. Dagrin was said to be in accompany of his close associates, when the accident occured. The damaged car has since been confiscated at Alakara Police Station in Mushin.
At the early hours of Wednesday, Questionmarkmag.com contacted his manager and he claimed that accident was a minor one and not as brutal as been speculated. “ I don’t know where you actually get this story from at this hour but at the same time we thank God, the accident wasn’t that fatal, he only sustains minor injuries but he’s feeling better now” his manager squealed. An insider who claims anonymity disclosed to us that at the hospital that no one hasn’t been allowed to visit him as his condition implies, “the Doctors say he’s improving, but they have to keep him in ICU until his condition stabilizes. He hasn’t been able to open his eyes or speak since yesterday. I believe they’ll move him from Intensive Care Unit (ICU) to the ward once he comes round”, he quip.  It took his management two days to issue a statement. Two days after the fatal accident, a statement was issued by the artiste manager that: Between 2 and 3 am on Wednesday14th of Aril, your favorites indigenous rapper, Olaitan Olanipekun aka Dagrin had car accident along the mushin area of Lagos State. He was on his way back from the studio, where he was recording tracks for his upcoming new album. He came out of the crash with cuts and bruises and has a successful operation to close a cut he sustained during the accident. He’s presently in the hospital, where he’s recovering.

Toni Payne Can’t Get 9ice To Address Infidelity Rumours.

Toni Payne Can’t Get 9ice To Address Infidelity Rumours.

Toni Payne
9ice and Toni payne went their separate ways as a couple without giving fans a reason and it fuelled the speculations that the track titled ‘once bitten twice shy‘ on 9ice’s tradition album was directed at Toni Payne where 9ice mentioned catching a lover giving another man ‘nodding’ (fellatio or blowjob as you may know it) – speculated culprit were Toni Payne and Ruggedman.
Toni Payne has been trying to get 9ice to address the issue but it is yet to make and consequent took to her facebook page to let friends know. Her status on April 20 read:
‘#justsayin #FEDup A song I heard n loved months b4 it came out is causin sme minor issues so I will address dis issue by simply stating that its not my job to clear d air but I also think its time the person who sang the song “once bitten” comes out and tells the truth to every1 and let us no who he sang it for…’
“I’ve tried all avenues and all I get is Promises (from 9ice, he’d say in yoruba ) ‘ah ma binu, ma shey, ma binu, mo busy ni, ma binu ok motigbo’ (interpretes as ‘Don’t be angry, I’ll do it, I am busy I have heard you’] My back was pretty much up against the wall.”
She said further that it wasn’t a mutual understanding to release a statement announcing their separation:
My thot is It was quick n easy for him (9ice) to release a statement dat he’s getting seperated (like who does dat anyways, as if its a good thing) so telling d truth about a song u sang shud not b hard especially if its giving d wrong impression about d mother of your child, let’s try n fear God o! Hmmn! So pls! I just wanna concentrate on my career n my child without dealin with fabricated gist. #dissapointed
To my friends whose names/image were dragged into this whole mess without knowing a thing (layi mo owo, layi mo ese) all I can say is I’m very very sorry! Maybe I shuda done dis sooner but my heart still wanted to av faith in my other half. Anyways, God sees my heart n I know he will deal with whomever started it.
Ps: to answer my fav inbox question: NO I have no tatoos! Nuff said!’
Ruggedman also posted a suggestion on her (Toni Payne) wall which read: “TONI PAYNE My advice to you is you get 9ice to step up and clear this thing about this song once and for all so all this bullshit can stop.HE SANG THE SONG,ONLY HE CAN SAY WHO HE WAS TALKING ABOUT IN THE SONG.SO 9ICE WHERE ARE YOU?”
So what could possibly have been their reason for the separation, would they tell now?

According to (9ice) the CEO of alapomeji records, the first set of 7 videos from Tradition are as follows: gbamu-gbamu, no be mistake, liquor, anytime, respect is reciprocal, energy and pete-pete (featuring Asa).

Gbamu Gbamu was shot on the 17th and 21st of this month. Akin Alabi directed the video shoot.

"I want to make more music. That’s what brought me here in the first place. We’re shooting so many videos from the Tradition album. I’m also recording other albums as you know. We’re busy, very busy; and I want my fans to support the music and pray for me”, he says as the make up artiste quickly mops his face; getting him ready for another scene."

9ice seems to be determined to release 5 albums in a year; a goal which everyone's dimmed impossible. While thousands of fans are wondering why his marriage is on rocks, he is giving 100% of his time to his music. He has not responded to any accusation and he might never respond to any.

You heard the man, pray for him. Isn't he looking fresh in this video shoot?
